Welcome to The Friday Debrief — a short weekly practice to help you finish the workweek.
Today’s Debrief
A lot of tension in the body, in my experience, comes from actively blocking information we already have.
Sometimes that information is a thought or feeling we do not want to know. Sometimes it is intuitive. Sometimes it seems to be in the space around us rather than in the mind.
Try this as a small experiment.
Sit quietly for a moment and simply settle where you are.
Then ask:
What happens if I allow myself to sense what I already know, in my body?
Write down your observations, if you want.
And then:
What happens if I allow myself to sense what is in the space around me?
Do not try to interpret anything yet.
Just notice if something becomes clearer, an impression appears, or if the tension changes when you stop pushing the information away.
You can write down what you noticed afterwards, as literally as possible.
Have a great weekend!
